As we work to create a Culture of Health this holiday season, where are our emotions? We want it to be a time of great joy but sometimes for some of us those holiday blues creep in. So how do we overcome the holiday blues, the holiday depression?

You know the name of that movie! It’s right on the tip of your tongue, but it just won’t come out of your mouth because you can’t at the moment retrieve it from your brain.
Or you meet someone you know very well, start to introduce them to a friend and you can’t think of their name.
Next time that happens try making a fist and see if that name pops into your head.

New life erupts all around us in the spring whether it’s dark and raining or bright and sunny. New life persists, it pushes through.
Flowers blooming, bees buzzing, birds chirping, seedlings poking up out of the ground, little lambs and calves romping all remind us that life continues to be born anew despite circumstances, despite the weather, despite the storms of life.
