Spring Brings New Life

New life erupts all around us in the spring whether it’s dark and raining or bright and sunny. New life persists, it pushes through.

Flowers blooming, bees buzzing, birds chirping, seedlings poking up out of the ground, little lambs and calves romping all remind us that life continues to be born anew despite circumstances, despite the weather, despite the storms of life.

That’s part of the thrill of gardening. Putting those seemingly dead seeds in the ground and then waiting for what emerges. When those seedlings poke their heads above the earth, they bring joy to our hearts, reminding us of new life and the fruit that will come from that new life.

That hope of new life is planted deep in our hearts whether we realize it or not. Sometimes we may forget why we have that hope and have to be reminded.

So we come to Resurrection Sunday to celebrate The Hope of New Life, to remind us that we too can be born into new life now and even more abundant new life in eternity.

That new life comes from the One who created us, who holds the whole world together, who died and became the first New Life Resurrected from the grave. He suffered to give us that hope of new life in Him now and forever.

If you do not know Him, I pray that you will receive his love. He’s knocking on the door of your heart. When we open that door his love changes us forever giving us the hope and joy of new life, total transformation.

May you have a joyous and blessed Resurrection Sunday,

Dr. Jo
