Highway 5: Healthy Habits
First you make your habits, then your habits make you!
Are you vitally alive? If not, you could be. You can learn how to become healthy through healthy habits and stay as happy as you want to be. The research has been done, and the evidence is in. Disease can be an option.
Healthy habits lead to a healthy body.
Highway 5 lays the road base for all the other Highways to Health. Forming healthy habits along each highway helps you develop that healthy lifestyle that sets you free.
However, the only one that can really make a difference in your life is you. Once you understand the healthy lifestyle principles, you are the only one that can put them into practice. You can become responsible for your health.
You do not have to be a victim of disease, particularly of degenerative diseases like:
- heart disease
- hardening of the arteries
- high blood pressure
- arthritis
- allergies
- diabetes mellitus
- cancer, and the list goes on.
Many of these degenerative diseases develop because of unhealthy habits. Which would you rather be enslaved to: unhealthy habits that cripple your body or healthy habits that invigorate your body?
Developing new healthy habits
If you decide to change some of your habits in the process of traveling the Highways to Health, then you have to make the conscious effort to develop new habits that will serve you better.
Developing a new habit may at first seem rather difficult, mainly because it has to be such a conscious effort. A habit is a habit because it becomes so subconscious that it is automatic, and you don’t even have to think about it anymore. But when you develop a new habit, you have to keep it very much in your conscious mind until you have mastered it and it becomes again subconscious.
21 Days to a new habit
Acquiring a new habit takes conscious effort in practicing that habit for a minimum of twenty-one days. With dedication in this early period, the new, beneficial habit can be yours.
Mind Set: The secret to developing a new habit is your “mind set.” The thought process comes before the action. “As a man thinketh, so is he.” A conscious action cannot occur unless you think about it first.
Therefore, your mind is a very powerful or detrimental tool in the process of developing a new habit. Which way are you going to allow your mind to think? Will it be negative – this is impossible? Will you tell yourself you can’t do this? Or will you be positive? Tell yourself “I can do it. I can do it. I can do it!” Yes, you can do it!
After all you’re a maverick, ready to think outside the box and find out what truly sets you on the Highway to Health.
I will provide the information and guidance. You provide the positive mindset and we’ll zip along the Highway to Health.
